Coca-Cola – invented in a pharmacy

Short

Coca-Cola — it started out as a brain tonic from the pharmacy. In 1886 the pharmacist John Pemberton mixed a dark syrup of coca leaf and kola nut in Atlanta — five cents a glass, against headaches and fatigue. The cocaine was only taken out around 1903. Stories are based on real events but are dramatised for entertainment — characters and dialogue are not historically exact. #dispensio #pharmacyhistory #cocacola #pemberton #cocaine #1880s #medicalhistory #science #pharma #funfact #history
